Deadlines
Please note that the deadline to submit abstracts for oral presentations is 24 June 2016.
The Organizing Secretariat will inform you by the end of July at the very latest, whether your oral presentation has been accepted. In case of further delay, early bird deadline will be modified accordingly.
Please note that the deadline to submit abstracts for poster presentations is 3 August 2016.
Nonetheless, poster presentations may be submitted until 15 September 2016, but their acceptance will depend on the remaining space of the poster session.
Oral presentations
All oral presentations will be held in the "Saturnia" Room of the Conference Centre. (see Venue page)
There are two categories of oral presentations: invited and contributed. The time allocations are as follows:
Time Allocation | |
Invited | 25 min. + 5 min. Q&A |
Contributed | 12 min. + 3 min. Q&A |
The Program Organizing Committee makes the final determination regarding acceptance and the content of the program. Abstracts that are accepted but cannot be accommodated as oral presentations will be accepted as posters instead. Please notify the Abstract Secretariat (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) as early as possible if you want to remove your contribution.
Equipment
The session chair will provide a MacOS laptop with recent versions of PowerPoint and Acrobat Reader, and a Windows 10 laptop with recent versions of PowerPoint and Acrobat Reader.
Though there is a fiber link connecting the Conference Centre to the Italian Research Network GARR we discourage presenters from relying on the Internet for their presentations. If you wish to show web pages or streaming content we suggest you to prepare videos using screen capture software ahead of time. No overhead or slide projectors are available.
The presentation will be displayed on a single 1024x768 video projector. If you want to use your own laptop please let us know so we can assist with the transition between presentations.
